The present invention relates to a method of transmitting audiovisual streams between at least one device controlled by a user and a server. The audiovisual streams specified by the requests from the user are displayed on the device. The user enters a first command to change stream to the server in order to set up a communication for the transmission of the determined stream. The server then creates the determined stream and at least one second stream with a reduced bandwidth.
