PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable polysiloxane compound and a method for producing it having excellent heat resistance and weather resistance while achieving a high refractive index.

SOLUTION: The curable polysiloxane compound is obtained by polycondensation of one or more kinds of compounds 1 represented by SiXnY14-n(wherein X is a condensable functional group, Y1is a monovalent organic group, and n is an integer of 1-4 representing the number of X groups) and/or oligomers 2 of the compounds 1. In the curable polysiloxane compound, a refractive index of light with a wavelength of 589 nm is 1.46 or higher at 20°C.
