<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image reading section from disturbing attaching/detaching operation of a TCRG when the image reading section is added to an SFP having no image reading section to perform MFP. <P>SOLUTION: The TCRG is arranged near the front surface of the image forming apparatus and in parallel with the rotation direction of an intermediate transfer body, and the image reading section is arranged in the upper part of the image forming apparatus and at a position where a toner cartridge is not covered. Thus, the image reading section does not disturb the attaching/detaching operation of the TCRG. By integrating the toner cartridge cover with an operation unit, space-saving and expansion of the operation unit are compatible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
