PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for deriving a function which can be autonomously processed by the device even when the hardware configurations and/or request configurations of the device are dynamically changed. SOLUTION: This function providing device is divided into resource providers 100a to 100q as function realizing substances capable of realizing functions including hardware and software, and configured to realize the functions of the function providing device itself by a hierarchized resource provider group, and each resource provider includes a means for answering the propriety of provision of the function in response to the realization request of the function of the source provider itself to be transmitted from the resource provider positioned in the high order hierarchy to the resource provider.
