PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve safer and surer biometric authentication collation from anywhere by utilizing a network environment in a security management system. SOLUTION: A biometric authentication system executes individual identification by a biometric authentication terminal device connected to a network while using biometric authentication registration data previously registered in a registration server connected to the network. The biometric authentication system is composed of a means for inputting a registrant's unique identifier to a terminal device, a means for extracting biometric authentication registration data from the registration server to the terminal device by the input registrant's unique identifier via the network, a means for capturing biometric authentication collation data of the individual into the terminal device, a means for executing individual identification by the terminal device while collating the captured biometric authentication collation data with the biometric authentication registration data extracted from the registration server to the terminal device, and a means for deleting the biometric authentication data from the terminal device when the individual identification is executed by the terminal device.
