PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch connection condition sensing device capable of sensing the timing of the clutch being put in connection using a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The clutch connection condition sensing device 90 of an engine structured so that a plurality of gear couples are provided between the main axle 26 and a counter shaft 27 and a clutch to connect and disconnect the rotational driving force of the engine is installed on the main shaft, is equipped with a switch turning means 91 pivoted by the counter shaft 27 rotatably, a torsion spring 54 installed between the switch turning means 91 and the counter shaft 27 and making contact with the counter shaft 27 so as to give a friction to the rotating motion of the switch turning means 91, and a limit switch 51 with its output signal changed over while the switch turning means 91 rotates in the prescribed direction. At the end of the counter shaft 27, a drive sprocket 35 is mounted, and the switch turning means 91 is installed in a position nearer to the case of a transmission than the drive sprocket 35.
