PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently discharge, to atmospheric air, contained water in a silencer sucked into an outlet pipe which connects an expansion chamber in the silencer to the atmospheric air so as to reduce the water staying in the outlet pipe, thereby eliminating noise caused by a flow of the contained water. SOLUTION: A suction hole 40 for sucking up the contained water stored at the bottom of the silencer into the outlet pipe 30 is formed in the outlet pipe 30. The suction hole 40 is provided with a guide section 42 for directing the contained water in the direction of a flow of exhaust gas in the outlet pipe. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
