The machine has a line (10) attached to a rotor, and electrically excited poles (11-14) fixed in a stator. The line has a tandem magnetic track with magnetic tracks (15, 16) running parallel to each other. The poles encompass electrical coils (19-22), where the coils are designed as ring coils. The coils assigned to different phases are arranged, such that the coils do not influence a magnetic circuit assigned to another phase. The poles are arranged alternatingly one behind the other, where the magnetic circuit is formed by each pole with the respective track.
