An emulsion polymerization method is provided to prepare vinyl ester polymer dispersions by using reaction heat generated in a short time and reduce reaction time without loss of performance characteristic. An emulsion polymerization method emulsion-polymerizes a free radical polymerizable-ethylenically unsaturated monomer and optionally a monomer which can be polymerized with the unsaturated monomer. The ethylenically unsaturated monomer is selected from the group of monoester of diester of monocarboxylic acid or dicarboxylic acid and alkanol, and a vinyl ester and/or vinyl aromatic compound.
