<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault monitoring apparatus which analyzes a Trap notice from a communication apparatus by a different vendor in a fault analyzing portion common to a plurality of communication apparatuses. <P>SOLUTION: The fault monitoring apparatus receives Trap signals with IP information from the plural communication apparatuses #1, #2, to #n which are manufactured by the different vendors and have a plurality of blades #10, #20, to #m, and achieves fault monitoring of the plural communication apparatuses based on the received Trap signals. The fault monitoring apparatus is provided with a database 14 and the fault analyzing portion 11. The database 14 holds data for specifying the vendor and data for specifying a sensor and an operation in each communication apparatus. The fault analyzing portion 11 specifies the vendor by conducting database search based on the received IP information and blade numbers included in the Trap signals and outputs a fault notice by conducting database search and deciding a fault operation of the communication apparatus based on sensor information from the communication apparatus by the specified vendor and the vendor included in the Trap signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
