PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to set the optimum hues according to the taste or intention or the place.

SOLUTION: Tracing intensity of white balance is set according to operation input of the user, an achromatic color determination range is set according to the set tracing intensity, white balancing on an imaging signal is performed based on the set achromatic color determination range.
