PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a stable image even in an environment with external oscillation noise. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes an elastic blade 81 for removing a toner on an image carrier, disposed in contact with the circumference face of the image carrier 1 where an electrostatic latent image is formed, wherein the apparatus includes an oscillation detecting means for detecting oscillation and an oscillation generating means 85 for generating oscillation in a waveform having an inverted phase to the oscillation waveform obtained by the oscillation detecting means. The elastic blade 81 is mounted on a support member 84, and the oscillation generating means 85 is disposed oppositely to the elastic blade 81 across the support member 84.
