The light (10) has a light source (12) e.g. LED, for directing light in a direction (X). Over-lying light guides (14, 16) receive the light from the light source and extend in the direction. Two sets of light deflectors are respectively associated with the light guides for directing the light emitted from the light source in an output direction (Y) along the direction (X). One of the sets of light deflectors is offset from the other set of light deflectors. The light deflectors are formed as grooves within the light guides, where the grooves extend laterally to the direction (X).
