The airflow rate sensor (1) has an isolation layer (2) with a temperature recording zone extending in longitudinal direction. An electric heater (4) is attached on the isolation layer and has a pair of heater sections extending in longitudinal direction. The heater sections are connected in a direction perpendicular to the direction of the air flow. The electric heater has a component for conducting heat of the electric heater to the sections around the temperature recording zone so that the temperature recording zone is enlarged without increasing a resistance of the electric heater.
