<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust roller bearing for a swash plate type compressor excellent in friction resistance and having a long service life at low costs. <P>SOLUTION: This thrust roller bearing 11 as a thrust roller bearing for a swash plate type compressor comprises a plurality of rollers 14 and raceway disks 12 and 13 formed by heating a polished steel strip, which is obtained by cold-rolling a high carbon raw steel including 0.9-1.2 wt% of carbon, 1.2-1.7 wt% of chrome, 0.1-0.5 wt% of manganese and 0.15-0.35 wt% of silicon and which has Rmax≤2 μm of surface roughness. Area ratio of carbide in a nitrogen-rich layer of surfaces of the raceway disks 12 and 13 is 10-25%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
