<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the flocculation and the ensuing thickening/cracking with time of a coating fluid, when the fluid is prepared at a low temperature, and at the same time, enhance the density of an ink image. <P>SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of an inkjet recording medium is performed by the following procedural steps: a mixed solution is prepared by mixing at least, a dummy boehmite and polyvinyl alcohol with not less than 85% degree of saponification and not less than 4,000 degree of average polymerization, in the temperature range of not more than 40°C. Then, a coating liquid obtained by adding boric acid to the mixed solution inline, is applied to the surface of a resin-covered paper consisting of a base paper whose both sides are coated by a polyolefin resin. In addition, a porous layer containing the dummy boehmite, the polyvinyl alcohol and boric acid, is formed on the surface of the resin-covered paper. The mass ratio of the dummy boehmite (a) and the polyvinyl alcohol (b), is a/b≤9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
