PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate management by saving time and efforts such as previous information input in an image processor that executes user authentication by reading out information from a portable storage medium. SOLUTION: An image processor 1 executes user authentication by reading out information from an ID card. The image processor has a storage-device control part 116 for acquiring an IP address of an external authentication server 3 from an ID card, an operation display control part 115 for acquiring authentication information, an input/output control part 113 for transmitting the acquired authentication information to the external authentication server 3 so as to receive the authentication result from the external authentication server 3, and a main control part 111 that permits operation of the image processor 1 by a user on the basis of the received authentication-result information.
