摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging apparatus whose focusing driving range is optimized when shipping, and which enables the user of the imaging apparatus to easily readjust the focusing driving range, in accordance with the content displayed on a display device in the imaging apparatus, even if a focusing driving range which is required actually deviates from the focusing driving range, optimized prior, because of the changes due to aging or to dropping shock, or the like. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: a lens barrel part equipped with an optical lens; an optical system driving part for driving the lens barrel part in an optical axis direction; an image sensor part for converting incident light from the optical lens into a sensor signal; an image signal processing means for converting the sensor signal from the image sensor part into an image signal; a focus evaluated value calculation means for calculating a focus evaluated value representing the focusing degree of the optical lens from the image signal; and a focusing control means that controls the optical system driving part, based on the focus evaluated value so as to adjust a focus of the optical lens by moving the lens barrel part. The imaging apparatus is equipped with a focusing evaluated value monitoring means for monitoring the presence or the absence of abnormalities in focusing operation, from the operation history of the focusing control means.
