PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that suppresses surface potential variation after exposure in a photoreceptor surface even when uneven wear occurs on the photoreceptor surface. SOLUTION: This image forming device comprises: a photoreceptor including a charge generating layer and charge transporting layer on a conductive substrate and containing chlorogallium phthalocyanine pigment having diffraction peaks at 7.4°, 16.6°, 25.5°and 28.3°in the charge generating layer; a charging means; an exposing means; a toner image forming means; and a transferring means for transferring a toner image from the photoreceptor surface to a transfer medium. The image forming device establishes expression (1) (0.005×V0+8.1)×0.9≤E≤(0.005×V0+8.1)×1.1. Here, in expression (1), E shows the amount (mJ/m<SP>2</SP>) of exposure energy per unit area of the light radiated when the photoreceptor surface is exposed to form an electrostatic latent image.
