PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and compact display unit with a light-emitting part installed in a front face angled part of a substantially rectangular parallelopiped casing of a programmable controller, the display unit having about 90°of visual angle and confirming visually light emission or light extinguishment from about 90°of different angle. SOLUTION: The display unit includes: a light-emitting element 21 installed inside the casing 62, and for displaying an operation state of a displayed unit of the programmable controller 60, by the light emission or the light extinguishment; and a rod-like light guide body 10 formed, in one end, with a light incident part for a light of the light-emitting element to get incident, and formed, in the other end, with a light-emitting part 16 for emitting the incident light to an outside of the casing 62, wherein the display unit displays the operation state of the displayed unit on the light-emitting part 16. The light-emitting part 16 has a sloped face inclined with respect to a light advancing direction, and the sloped face is texture-worked to transmit one part of the light and to irregular-reflecting the other portion.
