PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for enhancing convenience of a setting operation on one and the same function and for preventing a next user from performing a functional setting in an erroneous way. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a display means 401 that displays a plurality of setting items which relate to only one of the plurality of functions. The image forming apparatus includes a storage means 403 that, when one function is provided, stores a group of setting items relating to this function as history data, and a continuation reception means 405 that receives an option of whether or not the provided function is continuously executed. The continuation reception means 405 causes the display means 401 to display the group of the setting items relating to the provided function and to display the history data selectably in a list when receiving the option, and initializes setting of the provided function and clears all the history data when receiving the option for not continuously executing the provided function.
