PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a 3CCD head-separation camera having three CDDs in which, since respective image signals of RGB are transferred by different cables, a delay is caused due to an error of a cable significantly affecting image quality. SOLUTION: The head-separation camera device includes a camera head 1, a camera controller 3, and a camera cable 2 connecting the camera head to the camera controller. The camera head 1 includes an imaging means 11, a pulse generation means 12 which generates a test signal, and a switching means 13 which switches a transmitting signal. The camera controller 3 includes a phase difference detection means 32 which detects the dispersion of an image signal line length of the camera cable 2 from the test signal received through the camera cable 2, and a phase difference compensation means 33 which compensates the detected phase difference.
