PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device capable of performing the excellent printing by smoothly conveying objects to be printed with high accuracy while suppressing any contact of the objects with a printing head, occurrence of jamming troubles, and cockling. SOLUTION: A printer includes a conveying mechanism 70 for conveying paper sheets one by one which are sheet-like objects to be printed, and performs the printing on the conveyed paper sheets by discharging ink while moving an ink-jet head in the direction orthogonal to the conveying direction. The conveying mechanism 70 includes a plurality of conveying belts 80 for conveying the paper sheets which are arrayed along the paper sheet conveying direction with a space therebetween in the direction orthogonal to the conveying direction, suction ports 102 which are formed in both side parts in the width direction of each conveying belt 80 to suck the paper sheets at the position separate from the ink-jet head from a paper sheet conveying face by the conveying belt 80, and a rib 110 provided along the paper sheet conveying direction between the conveying belts 80 at least in a printing area by the ink-jet head.
