PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To align ends of books formed by binding separate booklets by adjusting a cutting amount of the separate booklets. SOLUTION: When a user wants to output a book which is subjected to a saddle stitching and the like and a number of sheets included in one book is larger than a number of sheets which can be subjected to the saddle stitching and the like, one booklet to be outputted is separated into a plurality of booklets and outputted.
