<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To warm an engine without driving it when switching to a traveling mode after started to travel with an electric motor. <P>SOLUTION: While traveling with the electric motor 14, if the engine 12 is expected to start driving according to the charged capacity of a battery 16 and engine warming is needed because of low water temperature of the cooling water, the coolant circulation system 78 operates an electric pump 96 to heat the cooling water using an exhaust heat from the refrigeration cycle of an air-conditioner 30. At this time, the coolant circulation system operates flow rate control valves 92, 94 by setting both a flow rate QH toward the engine and a flow rate QH toward the heater core 58, based on the targeted blow temperature of the air-conditioner, so that the setting flow rates are obtained. By this operation, the engine is warmed without driven while controlling the air-conditioner's heating capacity not to drop, and when the heating load is low, the engine can reliably be warmed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
