<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily determine a blank disk conforming to a DVD Download. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk device is provided with: a first identifying means 4 for determining a DVD-ROM from information recorded in the lead-in zone of a DVD 1; a second identifying means 4 for detecting a tracking error from a data zone of the DVD 1 by a DPD method; a third identifying means 4 for detecting a wobble signal from the data zone by a push-pull method; and a determining means 5 for determining a blank disk conforming to a DVD Download standard when a DVD-ROM is logically identified, no tracking error signal is detected and there is a wobble groove, based on outputs from the identifying means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
