WATER SOFTENING DEVICE AND HOT-WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water softening device preventing mixing of regeneration liquid supplied from a regeneration liquid supply device with hot water for use, and a hot-water supply system equipped with the water softening device.

SOLUTION: The water softening device 10 includes: a water softener 11 softening water by passing water through ion exchange resin; a water supply pipe 20 introducing water to the water softener 11; a softened water supply pipe 5 delivering the softened water; a regeneration brine supplier 12; a brine supply pipe 29 supplying brine to the ion exchange resin; a drain pipe 21 draining brine from the water softener 11; a water-intake control valve 25 provided in the softened water supply pipe 5; a bypass pipe 30 bypassing the water softener 11 and water-intake control valve 25; and an emergency drain pipe 80 draining water in the softened water supply pipe 5. Water in the softened water supply pipe 5 is drained out of the emergency drain pipe 80 with a condition of the possibility of brine passing through the water-intake control valve 25.
