PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter element simple to produce and capable of effectively using a laminated material without causing waste. SOLUTION: A plurality of laminated materials 29 each having a flat filter medium 30 and a corrugated filter medium 31 stacked are stacked such that the extending directions of the uneven parts 31b and 31c of the corrugated filter media 31 become same. The openings on one end sides of the passages 32 formed between both filter media 30 and 31 of the respective laminated materials 29 are closed each other opening and the openings on the other sides of the passages 32 opposed to the unclosed openings on the one end sides thereof are closed. The width end parts 30a and 31a of both filter media 30 and 31 of the respective laminated materials 29 are bonded mutually in a close contact state. Cover frames 33 are attached to the width end ports 30a and 31a of the superposed laminated materials 29 and the gaps between the cover frames 33 and the width end parts 30a and 31a of the laminated materials 29 are filled with a sealing material to seal the passages between the width end parts 30a and 31a.
