PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod preventing rotation in the peripheral direction, and preventing jumping out of a butt upper rod in the shaft longitudinal direction when the butt upper rod is housed in a butt rod in the fishing rod capable of regulating the length. SOLUTION: The fishing rod is equipped with the butt rod 1, and the butt upper rod 2 housed in the butt rod 1 in a telescopic manner, and has a length-regulating mechanism for holding the butt upper rod 2 in an elongated state and a contracted state relatively to the butt rod 1. The tip side of the butt upper rod 2 and the tip side of the butt rod 1 are provided with fitting regions 10A and 10B composed of recessed parts 12 and protruding parts 11 to be a fitting relationship in which the parts are mutually attached in the peripheral direction and the shaft longitudinal direction when the butt upper rod 2 is housed in the butt rod 1.
