PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a riding type rice transplanter which can receive a plurality of preliminary mat-like seedlings in a state arranged in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body, and facilitates steering, storage, and getting-on and -off, when tables for loading the preliminary mat-like seedlings are not used. SOLUTION: Provided is the riding type rice transplanter having preliminary seedling-loading tables 50 for loading and receiving a plurality of preliminary mat-like seedlings in a state arranged in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body, and a support 30 for supporting the preliminary seedling-loading tables 50 in a state capable of freely switching into a used state or a stored state. The used state of the preliminary seedling-loading tables 50 is a state that the divided seedling loading tables 53, 54 of each preliminary seedling-loading table 50 are arranged in a line in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body on the side view of the vehicle body. The stored state of the preliminary seedling-loading tables 50 is a state that a plurality of the divided seedling loading tables 53, 54 are piled in the direction orthogonal to the seedling-loading surface, and each of the divided seedling loading tables 53, 54 is placed on the more inner side of the vehicle body in the vertical posture of the vehicle body than in a case of the lateral posture of the vehicle body, and placed behind the front end position of the self-propelled vehicle.
