<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote sales of a commodity by preparing an optimum inventory in each store to prevent out-of-stock conditions. <P>SOLUTION: The inventory management device 100 comprises a stock database 101 which stores quantity of a predetermined unit of commodities received from an upstream agent for shipping commodities to a plurality of downstream stores and a distribution ratio of the received commodities distributed to each store; a receiving part 107 which receives the number of shipped commodities in each predetermined period for each store; a sales processing part 103 which totals the received number of shipment to determine a ratio of the number of shipment to each store to the obtained total number of shipment, and calculates a shipping ratio of the commodities shipped in the predetermined period; and a commodity distribution arithmetic part 105 which performs weighted average operation to the stored distribution ratio and the calculated shipping ratio, and acquires a stock ratio of commodities to be shipped in a future predetermined period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
