<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for suitably testing a layer-2 switch device. <P>SOLUTION: A test device 900 tests a communication controller 10 functioning as a layer-2 switch device relaying communication data based on information of the layer 2. The test device 900 includes: an output part 904 which outputs data to the communication controller 10; a holding part 950 which associates data to be output to the communication controller 10 with data which should be output from the communication controller 10 and holds them; an input part 906 which inputs data output from the communication controller 10; an inspection part 908 which inspects whether the communication controller 10 is operating normally; and an update part 952 which updates the data held by the holding part 950 as a database is updated. The output part 904 selects data of a record updated by the update part 952 out of the data held by the holding part 950 and outputs the data to the communication controller 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
