PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a refrigerant sucked to a compression element at a latter stage side from becoming moist even in an operating condition where a large amount of liquid refrigerant is accumulated in a gas-liquid separator, in a refrigerating device performing multiple-stage compression type refrigerating cycle capable of performing intermediate-pressure injection by the gas-liquid separator. SOLUTION: An air conditioner 1 comprises two-stage compression type compressing mechanism 2, a heat source-side heat exchanger 4, a utilization-side heat exchanger 6, a receiver 18 and a first latter stage-side injection pipe 18c. The receiver 18 separates the refrigerant flowing between the heat source-side heat exchanger 4 and the utilization-side heat exchanger 6 into gas and liquid. The first latter stage-side injection pipe 18c is a refrigerant pipe having a latter stage-side injection opening and closing valve 18d capable of performing opening/closing motion to return the refrigerant from the receiver 18 to the latter stage-side compressing element 2d. The air conditioner 1 controls a degree of superheat of the refrigerant sucked to the latter stage-side compressing element 2d by the opening/closing motion of the first latter stage-side injection opening and closing valve 18d.
