PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of encoding modulation/demodulation with easy soft output operation a the time of decoding of modulation/demodulation, in order to drastically reduce the circuit scale. SOLUTION: The encoding device includes an information acquisition means 101 for sequentially reading information from an information sequence and outputting an output, a first encoder 102 for encoding the output into a first codeword, a second encoder 103 for encoding the output into a second codeword, a third encoder 104 for encoding the output into a third codeword, and a fourth encoder 105 for encoding the output into a fourth codeword using a fourth information, the first codeword, the second codeword, the third codeword, and a zero matrix. Therein, there is a constraint as follows. The first encoder 102 to the third encoder 104 should set the value of 1 bit to 1, and should set the value of other 3 bits to 0. Moreover, when the fourth codeword is divided into four sub matrices, the fourth encoder 105 should set the zero matrix to one sub matrix and should set the first, second, and third codewords to three sub matrices.
