PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient and high-sensitive method for detecting specimens, a measuring composition used for the detection method, and a microparticle dispersion containing a fluorescent coloring material used for the measuring composition, which has dispersion stability, resistance to pigment elution, and high detection sensitivity. SOLUTION: The microparticle dispersion contains a fluorescent coloring material and a polymer C having a glass transition temperature from -150 to 30°C in a core region; and a polymer S having a specific adsorptive group (which recognizes and functions to adsorb a particular substance, similar to an antibody against an antigen) in a shell region.
