PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified polypropylene resin having a high molecular weight, a much graft amount and high melt tension and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the modified polypropylene resin, a mixture including a polypropylene resin (A), a metal (meth)acrylate (B) and an organic peroxide (C) which has 100 to 150°C 1 min half-life temperature and whose active oxygen amount (X) satisfies 4.1<X(%)<10 is melted and mixed.
