The dosing unit is operable in a dilution operation in which a dilution ratio of a through flow resistance (R2) takes a finite value different from zero for summing of an outflow resistance (R1), through flow resistance and an inflow resistance (R3). #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Gas analysis device i.e. ion mobility spectrometer (claimed), for detecting smallest concentrations of a gaseous substance of an explosive, drug, chemical agent and a toxic industrial gas. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The dosing unit is operable in the dilution operation in which the dilution ratio of the through flow resistance takes the finite value different from zero for summing of the outflow resistance, through flow resistance and the inflow resistance, so that fast detection of smallest concentrations of gaseous substances can be achieved.
