PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a riding type rice transplanter which receives preliminary mat-like seedlings on both the lateral sides of a self-propelled vehicle in a state arranged in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body, and facilitates all of travel, getting-on and -off, and seedling supply. SOLUTION: Provided is the riding type rice transplanter having preliminary seedling-loading tables 50 for loading and receiving a plurality of preliminary mat-like seedlings in a state arranged in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body and a support 30 for supporting the preliminary seedling-loading tables 50 on both the lateral sides of the self-propelled vehicle and slidably supporting the preliminary seedling-loading tables 50 so that the whole bodies of the preliminary seedling-loading tables 50 slide in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body, and forming the support so that the preliminary seedling-loading tables 50 are arranged at lower positions than the upper end of a steering handle 4 and so that the upper ends of the support 30 is placed at a lower position than the highest ends of the preliminary seedling-loading tables 50.
