<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire fighting attachment to securely function as means for obturating the opening of a drain pipe or joint when a fire occurs without eliminating the spring property before a vertical drain pipe is melted and carbonized. <P>SOLUTION: The fire fighting attachment includes an annular attaching part 21, a projecting piece 22 disposed in the non-attached face side of the outer periphery of the attaching part 21, a spring member 23 on the lower side of the projecting piece 22, a noncombustible lid member 24 attached turnably in the horizontal direction, and a restraining pin 25 for restraining turning of the noncombustible lid member 24. A metal material whose yield point can be retained in the temperature range of at least ignition temperature of the vertical drain pipe 12 or higher is used as the spring member 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
