PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed for a medical image diagnostic apparatus which allows a top plate to be moved over the length of a bed body with a simple structure without narrowing an imaging space of the medical image diagnostic apparatus. SOLUTION: The top plate 4 and a slider 6 are connected at two positions at which both ends of the top plate 4 almost coincide with both ends of the bed 5, and at which one end (the end far from a gantry 1) of the top plate 4 is extended from the end of the bed 5. In a connected state of the top plate 4 and slider 6 at the position at which the top plate 4 is extended from the end of the bed 5, the extended top plate 12 is connected to the other end (the end close to the gantry 1) of the top plate 4 to extend the top plate 4. Connection between the top plate 4 and slider 6 is then returned to the position in which both ends of the top plate 4 almost coincide with both ends of the bed 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
