PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type display device with excellent display quality. SOLUTION: The active matrix type display device includes a substrate, a plurality of video signal lines VL, and a plurality of pixels PX connected to the respective video signal lines. Each pixel PX includes a first power supply terminal, a second power supply terminal, a display element, a driving transistor DR, and a holding capacitance C including a first electrode connected to the gate of the driving transistor and a second electrode superposed on the first electrode through a gap.
