PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a natural image without bending or distortion is viewed on a projection face even when viewed from any positions, independent from the shape of the projection face by correcting the difference in the pixel density on the projection face. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 is so configured that the image is drawn by scanning the projection face 21 of a screen 2 with light from the image forming apparatus body 3. The image forming apparatus body 3 includes: a light emission part 4; an optical scanning part 5 having an actuator 51; a driving pattern generation means 7 which generates the driving pattern of the light emission part which emits the light at such timing and emission time as to correct the difference in the pixel density on the projection face 21; and a control part 8 which controls the operation of the light emission part 4 according to the driving pattern.
