PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet post-processing device capable of improving jam handling capability and capable of preventing damage caused by contact between a shift tray and an opening and closing member, and an image forming device equipped with the sheet post-processing device and an image forming device body. SOLUTION: In this sheet post-processing device 1, a shift tray sensor 27 is in a detection state when the shift tray 13 is positioned on an upper part than an upper end 26 of the opening and closing member 25 on an open position Y, and a first post-processing control part (control part) 18 lowers the shift tray 13 so that an upper surface detection sensor 21 is in an upper surface detection state, and stops conveying of a sheet T by a conveying part 19 when the shift tray sensor 27 detects the shift tray 13.
