PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable highly efficient and highly precise separation of fine particles by forcing them to pass through a screen network without clogging the screen when adhesive fine particles with a size of about 20 microns or less and a liquid are together separated from a slurry. SOLUTION: A rotor is rotated within an inclined cylindrical screen made of a synthetic fiber and a slurry raw material is supplied from the inclined lower end of the cylindrical screen so that the raw material remains within the cylindrical screen. Centrifugal force and pressure variation are applied to the slurry via rotation of the rotor, so as to press the slurry while finely vibrating the cylindrical screen, thereby forcing fine particles to pass through the screen network without clogging the screen. Also, the angle of inclination of the cylindrical screen is optionally adjustable, so as to control the residence time of the slurry raw material within the cylindrical screen.
