This is a cover designed for covering the handlebar grip of a bicycle and the like and forms hygienic means for preventing possible infections and/or diseases. The cover is characterized in that it comprises a hollow body (1) that can be fitted at least to a handlebar grip (2), covering the entire outer surface thereof and having, for that purpose, an end (5) that acts as a stop at the free end of the handlebar grip (2) and an opening with attachment means for securing the cover onto said handlebar grip (2) in a stable manner.
