A thin folding portable terminal device in which electronic circuits of the device are received in two housings and those portions of the housings through which flexible printed wiring boards are led are highly effectively waterproofed. The portable terminal device has a housing (20) having a rib-like waterproof wall (20b) projecting therefrom, a flexible printed wiring board (23), a waterproof sheet (25) bonded to the upper surface of the waterproof wall, and a set of waterproof double-sided tapes (22, 24) for bonding the housing and the waterproof sheet together. The first waterproof double-sided tape (22) is bonded onto the upper surface of the waterproof wall (20b) of the housing (20), the flexible printed wiring board (23) is bonded onto the first waterproof double-sided tape (22), the second waterproof double-side tape (24) is bonded onto the flexible printed wiring board (23) to hold the wiring board (23) between the first and second waterproof double-sided tapes (22, 24), and the waterproof sheet (25) is bonded in a covering manner onto the second waterproof double-sided tape (24) to seal the space surrounded by the waterproof wall (20b).
