PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain having a long service life and high strength by restricting the bend of a pin in the chain. SOLUTION: A bend amount detecting piezoelectric element 11 which generates a voltage when it is deformed is attached to the outer surface of an outer plate 18, and a pin bend correcting piezoelectric element 12 which is deformed when the voltage is applied is installed in a connecting pin 16. The bend amount detecting piezoelectric element 11 and the pin bend correcting piezoelectric element 12 are connected in series so as to solve the problem. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
