PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat responsible liquid composition which is a mixture of hydrophilic ion liquid and has properties to be dissolved under low temperature and to perform the phase-separation under high temperature, and to provide a process which is capable of efficiently extracting a poorly soluble substance using the same. SOLUTION: The heat responsible liquid composition (X) is a mixture (C) of the hydrophilic ion liquid (A) whose solubility to 100 g of water at 25°C is 10 g or more, preferably, for example, an ion liquid consisting of a mixed anion comprising imidazolium cation, acetic acid anion, and tetrafuluoroborate, and an organic solvent (B) having at least one atom with a non-shared electron pair in the molecule.
