PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core production apparatus which can automatically produce a double layer structural core composed of an external layer and an internal layer. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a core production apparatus for producing a core composed of an external layer and an internal layer formed of thermosetting resin-coated sand with different grain size indexes, and in which the external layer is formed at a grain size index higher than that of the internal layer. The apparatus includes : a pair of dies 1a, 1b rotatable around the horizontal rotary axis G; a heating means heating the dies 1a, 1b to required temperature; a movable frame 4 movable to the same direction as the die approaching/separating direction at the upper part of the dies 1a, 1b; a sand tank 5 for an external layer and a sand tank 6 for an inner layer provided at a fixed pitch P before and after the moving direction of the moving frame 4 in the upper part side of the movable frame 4; and a blow unit 7 for an external layer and a blow unit 8 for an internal layer capable of progressing/retreating to the blow positions directly above both the dies 1a, 1b from the sand receiving positions directly below both the sand tanks 5. 6.
