摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device equipped with a frame rate conversion part, the image display device capable of preventing deterioration in image quality due to the erroneous detection of a motion vector and, at the same time, capable of dissolving a motion blur of a telop portion when a telop to be scrolled is superimposed on an image in which an error is apt to occur on detection processing of the motion vector. <P>SOLUTION: A motion vector detection part 105 detects a region where one or more telops are present and a moving speed thereof and supplies information related to the detected motion vector and the telops to an interpolation frame producing part 107. A motion vector non-continuity detection part 106 detects whether the continuity is present in the motion vector of each frame and, when the continuity is not present, outputs the information regarding the absence of the continuity to the interpolation frame producing part 107.
